December Holidays are here with plenty of activities to keep the good times rolling!
Dickens
When: December 2
Time: 5-9PM
Where: Downtown Plano
Winter is coming…and Plano is celebrating. Ever seen an ice sculpting competition? Now is your chance with an appearance from Dallas Ice FX. Watch professionals chisel away for hours as they create winter inspired masterpieces. Wish you could go snow tubing? Plano has that too. We guarantee you’ll get a rush sliding down the 30-foot hill of real snow. Snag a free horse-drawn wagon ride, but not before purchasing a hot cocoa or cider from one of the many vendors.
Holiday in the Park
When: December 3
Time: All day
Where: Perryman Park
Santa and his reindeer are riding into town for a special event this December. Don’t miss the parade of lights—a spectacular display of color that will make its way through The Colony. Holiday carnival games and rides will be set up in Perryman’s Park for every kid and kid at heart. Keep an eye on the main stage for performances and keep your nose pointed in the direction of the baking contest. What could make this day any better? A white dusting to set the scene…we can dream.
Christmas Spectacular
When: December 3-Jan 1
Time: Sunset-10PM
Where: Central Fire Station
If you love Christmas lights, then you won’t want to miss this year’s spectacular. Head over to the fire station and tune your radios to 99.9 FM for a choreographed light show. If you can’t make it opening night, don’t worry, you’ll have an entire month to catch the magic.
Merry Main Street
When: December 3
Time: 5-9PM
Where: Simpson Plaza, Frisco
Santa Claus is coming to town and he’s making a pit stop in Frisco. Meet Rudolph, Comet Prancer, and Dancer—no animations here, we’re talking live reindeer. Calories don’t count until January 1, so sample your way through the holiday treats for sale. Cozy up for a ride in a horse-drawn carriage, and don’t miss the snowflake light show. It’ll have you dreaming of a white Christmas. Let your kids wander into the holiday store with a $5 bill. Sorry, no parents allowed. They’ll return with a gift for mom and dad, wrapped and ready to be placed under the tree.
Lantern Light: America’s Winter Wonderland
When: December 3
Time: 3-9PM
Where: Heritage Farmstead Museum, Plano
Wander four acres of farmland illuminated by lanterns at Heritage. This 30-year tradition brings back the simpler of times. Enjoy a wagon ride, storytelling, homemade treats, and a hug from Santa Claus himself. Strolling carolers will perform all the holiday favorites— don’t hesitate to make a request. Historic blacksmith demonstrations and crafts—think olden day candle dipping—will keep the whole family entertained.
New Year’s Eve at Topgolf
When: December 31
Time: 9PM-1AM
Where: Topgolf
Cost: $225 per bay, VIP: $450 per bay
